The adventure

Step into a Scotland filled with castles, secrets and dramatic scenery.

This seven-night land journey begins and ends in Edinburgh, with several nights based at Dalmunzie Castle Hotel in the Highlands. Along the way, the group will explore historic castles, visit royal landmarks, experience a Scottish distillery and watch working sheepdogs in action.

The order of activities may shift for operational or logistical reasons, but the planned journey includes the following experiences.

Depart the United States

Travelers arrange their own flights to Scotland.

Day 2Mon., July 26

Welcome to Edinburgh

Make your own way to the hotel, meet the group and enjoy a three-course welcome dinner with one glass of wine, water, coffee or tea. Overnight at a four-star Edinburgh hotel.

Day 3Tue., July 27

St Andrews, Glamis Castle & the Highlands

Travel through the Kingdom of Fife with free time in St Andrews, tour famously atmospheric Glamis Castle and enjoy a three-course dinner before settling into Dalmunzie Castle Hotel.

Day 4Wed., July 28

Traitors Activities, Pitlochry & Blair Castle

Spend the morning at leisure for privately arranged group activities, then continue to Pitlochry and enjoy a guided visit to Blair Castle and Gardens. Dinner is included at the castle hotel.

Day 5Thu., July 29

Dalwhinnie & a Sheepdog Demonstration

Another morning is available for group activities before a Dalwhinnie Distillery tour and a visit to Leault Farm to see working sheepdogs in action. Dinner is included at the hotel.

Day 6Fri., July 30

Highland Scenery, Stirling Castle & the Kelpies

Return toward Edinburgh by way of Aberfeldy and Stirling Castle, then pass the towering Kelpies on the Falkirk landscape. Dinner is on your own in Edinburgh.

Day 7Sat., July 31

Royal Edinburgh

Enjoy a half-day guided city experience with private coach transportation and admission to the Palace of Holyroodhouse. The afternoon and evening are yours to explore.

Day 8Sun., August 1

Departure Day

Breakfast is included before travelers make their own way to the airport.
