Berlin has nearly 60 Christmas markets — intimate, sprawling, traditional, and totally unique. Prague's Old Town Square market is one of the most photographed in Europe, with its massive Christmas tree, wooden vendors, Czech culinary specialties, and carols filling the square.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Depart the US — overnight flight to Berlin.

  • Day 2: Arrive Berlin — transfer to hotel, free afternoon to explore the city and its Christmas markets.

  • Day 3: Berlin — guided walking tour of East and West Berlin, including Brandenburg Gate, Holocaust Memorial, Museum Island, and Checkpoint Charlie. Evening free to explore.

  • Day 4: Berlin — visit the Berlin Television Tower on your own. Free day to explore Berlin's Christmas markets at your own pace.

  • Day 5: Berlin → Prague — breakfast, then train to Prague. Afternoon free to explore the "City of a Hundred Spires."

  • Day 6: Prague — panoramic guided walking tour of the historic center, ending at Charles Bridge. Immerse yourself in the Prague Christmas Fair in the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square.

  • Day 7: Prague — guided tour of Prague Castle grounds, including St. Vitus Cathedral, the Golden Alley, and the Old Royal Palace. Afternoon free for last-minute market shopping.
